my family and i have moved into a double storey house 7-8 years ago.
there's 4 rooms in it. we just need two.
hence, my mum decided to rent the rooms we don't need to others.
when i was standard 5 or 6, a girl moved into our house.
1st impression, 30 years old ++, tanned skin, short hair, deep voice, single.
her name is Vicky, renting the room upstairs.
forgot since when,
every night after she come back from work, she will sit in the living room and talk to us.
chit chat, crap, gossip...
non sense, but we had a lot of fun spending time together.
she laugh very loud. i still remember her laughter.
she's a good person.
happy-go-lucky, positive, friendly, helpful.
and few years later, she got sick.
a disease which i don't know what's its name.
but she never gave up. she moved to Sabah to start her new life.
of course,
she came back to KL once in a while to visit us.
she was still the same.
same attitude, same laughter.
even we didn't see each other for like half to one years, we still can sit down together and talk like last time.
during some special days like CNY, Xmas or moon cake festival, she will text my mum and send her wishes to us.
she's a true friend indeed...
but just now, my dad called.
he said her brother sent a msg, saying that she passed away.
i was speechless on that moment...
recalling the last time when we meet her...
and now i won't have any chance to see her anymore...
feels weird, and so not-true.
my mum is sad. very sad.
and i cried, too.
realizing how tough and fragile life can be.
the only thing we can do, is appreciate.
your family, your friends, those you love...
we'll never know when we're going to lose them.
dear Vicky, may you rest in peace.
i will remember you forever.
miss the moments we had. :')
and million thanks to you for bringing happiness to my family, you're the best tenant ever ♥
